So when Sirius Radio first came out my mom and dad bought my brother and I $1000 worth of shares. Well, I never sold mine because it kept going down, and I thought surely at some point it will go up.
I turned on the news today, and they announced that Sirius is going bankrupt. I checked my stock, and well, it would cost me more money to sell than to just let it go haha.
Oh well. I will post some pictures of things I've been working on soon =D I still have three more things to finish.

money money money... MONEY
I'm not going to lie. I actually enjoyed the football game last night. But I think that's cuz I had money on it. And guess what. My ten dollar bet became a 15 dollar gain =D.
And so that $25 dollars is going to become a beautiful jasmine plant. We are going to call it SUPER SEVEN.

Bindy Bindy! Dance time.
Ryan got me the soundtrack to cowboy bebop for my birthday present. LIKE ALL FOUR CD'S OF THEM! It is quite awesome. And the CDs themselves have awesome pics of the anime characters. AND ALL THE CDS ARE BEAUTIFULLY PERFECT. I am going to be jazzing out to my housecleaning now. =D He also bought me new tennis shoes for when we go to Disneyland.
I haven't taken any pictures lately. This week has gone too quickly.

Every other channel is on the inauguration.... On Sunday I counted six pictures of his face with three front page articles in the newspaper. On C-span last night, they filmed him signing copies of his books in a bookstore. Nice.

cUP cakes

Today I kept hoping to run into someone from my past. It's weird how I can live in this city and never see anyone I know when I go out. It makes me feel like either I don't know very many people, or there are just too many people. I've been nostalgic lately.
I found a really cool website called modcloth that has reasonably priced neat items. *drools over coats, skirts, and shoes* It has made me want to reinvent myself. And so the lust for new clothing has emerged again. I don't know why I listen to it though. I will buy the clothes, realize I don't look how I should look in them, then forget to wear them because they aren't comfortable. I think I am doomed to being drab because of self-image distortions. And I know the only reason I want to get these clothes is so I can pretend to be someone else who is control of her life and is cool.
I feel like my life line has been cut and I am drifting away from everything I know. It's weird feeling so unstable and distant. I don't know how to properly explain it. Ever since school ended, no before that, when high-school ended my life has just been unraveling. I have a great life, don't get me wrong. And I thoroughly enjoy it. But physiologically I am all over the place.
Being a modern housewife is difficult too. People, myself included, expect women to be productive and work. You know, SUPERWOMAN TO THE RESCUE! So when I have to answer that dreaded question "Oh and what do you do?" I feel horrible, ashamed, guilty, embarrassed to say "I'm a stay at home wife." My mom says I should answer with "Whatever I damn want."
Before you consider being a professional housewife too, consider the drawbacks:
1. It gets lonely unless you know other women who stay at home too
2. People who work at the grocery store will begin to call you by your first name
3. You have to resist the temptation to eat all day
4. While you get to sleep in, you do eventually have to get out of bed
5. Your income won't be as lucrative with only one paycheck
6. People will react strangely when you tell them what you do for a living

GUESS WHAT
I finally got my Christmas present! A NEW CAMERA! Here are the spoils of my generous family:
Yeah everyone else works, so Mr. Duck (another Christmas present) was my stunning model.

My table adornment thing.

This is a snowflake I made. I am making a bunch of different ones. Then I will string them together to make a garland for Christmas next year. I think I am going to work on a lace tablecloth and runner too. =)

The ants keep marching one by one horrah horrah
My dad called a few hours ago saying he talked to my boss. He is my boss's customer. Anyway, I guess I am going to be laid off tomorrow or given the option to work 46 hours a week or work for the hellish Teresa. I feel weird about all of this. Obviously I am not going to keep working there. I also feel like they kind of set this up. What's weirder yet is that I have to go in tomorrow knowing this. And I'll have to wait around until I have "the talk." It really doesn't inspire me to get my work done.
The saying still stands true: If you go on vacation when you work in construction, you won't have a job when you get back.
Regardless, it's an answer to a prayer.
